"INITIATION INTO REALITY"

Experiencing God

All Religions and Philosophies (Metaphysical Theories) posit a Supreme Principle, which they nevertheless fail to really grasp (beyond some hints). The reason this happens is because That To Which They Point is A Living Dynamic Reality That Expands Beyond All Boundaries, and continually escapes all attempts to define, limit, statically apprehend. Reality cannot become a “concept” - a fixed thing

There are in Religions (for those who have dealt a lot or a little with Theology, the History of Religions...) terms, names, which come closer to the Dynamic Reality (which we generally call "God") and other terms which completely move away from its clarification our perception.

For example, in the Teaching of the Upanishads (the later Vedanta, Shankara, etc.), 28 centuries ago the term Brahman (from the verb brh = to increase, expand, beyond all limits, in this case) would mean That which Expands beyond from a perception, which moves "too slowly" to capture Living Reality.

“A Still that is faster than the mind. Where the Gods do not reach, because It always precedes. That and when It stands, It surpasses the others, no matter how they run. Into This the Lord of Life deposits the "Waters" (the Cosmic Superimposed Processes...). – Isa Upanishad, 4

They translate the term Brahman – quite loosely – as Absolute or World Spirit or Infinite, petrifying it into a static meaning (noun). Do you see - dear friends - how language distorts reality? Where there is Life, Motion, "Process," we perceive "some substance".

Another example is in Buddhism. The term Asamskrita (for the Ultimate Reality) means the Un-Made (by perception, thought, human actions), with all that implies. In Late Buddhism the term Sunyata (Emptiness) is used which implies a Perpetual Movement of Perception into the Limitless which has no Content, Attributes – with all that implies.

Even in the post-Christian Kabbalah (regardless of any view of its origin) the term Ein Soph means That which Extends beyond Limits and is therefore not reached by perception however it moves.

On the other hand, there are terms in Chinese Taoism - the Tao - that denote the All that Flows in Spontaneous Free Way - Te - and in Which all individual processes are merged, such as thought, action, matter, life (with its phenomena).

Leaving the East, the Ancient Hellenes (starting with the Mystic Orpheus and the Great Philosophers, Pythagoras, Parmenides, Heraclitus, up to Plato and the other Great Philosophers...) spoke of an Eternal Reality (the Chaos of the Orphic Hymns), the "Ultimate Being," which Flows, Enclosing within this Becoming all individual processes, as superimposed phenomena - all phenomena. Heraclitus speaking especially about Becoming approached it as the Flowing Wholeness, the Universal Flow of Phenomena, which is Recognized in all the individual processes of existence.

In Christianity only the Mystics – such as the desert mystics, or – in the West – the Meister Eckhart and some others who move in the same spirit, Experience God as a Living Expanding Reality. In the official theology of the church the Living God, the Eternal Flowing Reality, is declared to be "God," Father, or Whatever, a static concept, an object of thought. But this is how theology is isolated from Living Reality in the dead space of words, and stripped of Living Experience it becomes only thought.

On the other hand, the Purpose set in Religions and Metaphysical Philosophy is precisely the Approach to Living Reality, the Flowing Wholeness, the Direct Experience of this Dynamic Reality, the Experience of "God". And here too there are terms that approach the dynamic content of the Experience or move away towards static perceptions - concepts - of a realization or an achievement.

We want to say that the Experience of "God", the Direct Experiencing of the Living Flowing Divine Reality constitutes (and this is precisely the content of the Experience) a Liberation of Perception from all limitations, an Expansion into the Unlimited, the Endless, a living experience, Here, Now, beyond Time, beyond thought moving slowly, statically from concept to concept – to realize supposed knowledge.

The Experiencing of God is Direct Knowledge, Direct Sensing that spreads out continuously, limitlessly because it has no content, but Remains nevertheless Alive, Self-affirming, True... it is not intellectual knowledge of concepts.

So, there are descriptive terms in Religions that indicate in a very clear way what is happening - the truth - and terms that are misleading.

For example, the "Living of Brahman " would be defined (if we accept the conception mentioned above) as the Liberation of Perception from limitations, its Endless Expansion towards the Infinite, a Sense of Inconceivable Speed of Expansion, which while Changing (the Perception ) remains Unchanged.

Nirvana to refer to the second example would be Living Present Perception Contentless Expanding Remaining Unchanged, Pure, Active – not nothingness, not a disappearance, not what people imagine.

We could cite more examples, from Taoism, Zen (about what Satori is), or the mystical experiences of true Christians - not the typical pseudo-Christians of the official church - but we think - dear friends - that it is understood what we want to say.

Ultimately, Reality Exists and Acts as a Living Presence and Extension of Perception beyond Limitations, Always, Everywhere, Within us, within each of us.

It exists in Power, as a Potential of our Nature.

Reality Is All That Manifests Here, Now, That Flows Without Changing and Includes Within It All Individual Processes and Phenomena, Thought, Sensation, Physical Experience, Material Things.

When Perception (one's Present Perception) from the Flowing Wholeness, Here, Now, is limited to thought and grasps Reality (not as Flow but) through static concepts (based on knowledge, memory, experiences) it perceives not the Reality but a fabricated reality, a false reality, a daydream.

Nevertheless, the Flowing Wholeness, the Perception – as Perception – that Encompasses all individual processes Exists as Background and Support of all that occurs.

Reality does not cease to be Reality because a Perception dreams that it has a separate existence, because it splits into observer and world, because it behaves schizophrenically, erroneously, destructively. Someday the dream will end

The Transition, moreover, from the stream of consciousness of the ego, which experiences its existence against the world to the Free Perception, the Without Obstacles, Terms and Limits, Perception, is not a realization of the ego (for as long as the ego exists this will continue state) but rather an abandonment of this process – the ego must cease to exist for Reality to Emerge.

This means that Perception Restores its Unity, Flows Freely, while using thought, sensation, material experience, as individual processes – no longer obstacles – embedded in the Perception of Flowing Reality. Liberation of Perception does not at all mean "blocking" (or disappearing) thought, bodily sensations or material action.

Beyond the Experience of Liberation, or Free Boundless Perception, Embracing in its Oneness all processes-phenomena, there is the Integral Experience of Divine Reality, the Elevation of Perception Toward the Vast, which is, however, an Experience beyond our known world – since here not only the "observer" but also the "observed" is missing... perhaps we will talk about this in another article (although these things should not be said publicly, since they are the Heart of God's Mysteries).
